Whitelash. Whatever you call it, and whatever caused it, you should be furious.
Nearly half of America voted for a man who condones sexual assault and treats women as objects and commodities. Nearly half of America voted for a man who thinks Mexicans are rapists and Muslims are terrorists, solely because of where they came from. Nearly half of America voted for a man who believes global warming is a hoax, and who asked Russian hackers to interfere with our elections.
It is not going to be OK.
The election essentially has validated his views and given license for the least of his followers to attack women, minorities you. And that is not OK.
But while we work to bring sanity back, through the midterm elections and then four years from now, what are the realities of Donald Trumps power as president, and what safeguards prevent him from turning the country into a dumpster fire of hate and exclusion?
