Dec. 18, 2021, was officially Jack Harlow Day in Louisville, according to a proclamation from Mayor Greg Fischer.
Harlow shared the proclamation plaque in an Instagram post yesterday.

The proclamation reads, “To all whom these presents shall come, know ye that the city of Louisville honors Jack Harlow.
For answering, once and for all, that what’s poppin’ is Louisville when it comes to talent that makes it bigger than big, but doesn’t forget the “home” in hometown or homegrown. The rapper’s way with words and beats has earned him untold fans, chart-topping releases and an ability to give back in meaningful ways, and he does.
Our city is excited and proud to observe December 18, 2021, as Jack Harlow Day in Louisville.”
Dec. 18 was also the day of Harlow’s concert at Old Forester’s Paristown Hall, the last of his five-show “No Place Like Home” tour in Louisville.
In October, Harlow also donated to five Louisville charities, telling PEOPLE that “People joke about how often I reference my home, but it’s a huge part of my identity and I want you to think of Louisville when you think of me. My career feels like a mission that’s bigger than me.”
The charities Harlow chose do a range of things for the local community. AMPED provides a free music program to kids and free technology training to adults; The Center for Women and Families helps victims of intimate partner violence and sexual assault; the Grace James Academy is an all-girls school with an Afrocentric curriculum; the Louisville Urban League combats the effects of racism in the city; and Metro United Way provides all sorts of services to people in need, focusing on three main areas: education, financial stability and health.
Harlow is doing shows in California this week and next for a continuation of his “Crème de la Crème” tour. He has also been announced as a headliner for the 2022 Forecastle Festival, which dropped its full lineup today.
