Thomas Massie really thought he did something with this years Christmas card.
The perpetually embarrassing Kentucky representative posted a photo of his family, all toting hefty firearms to Twitter on Saturday, Dec. 4 with the message, Merry Christmas! ps. Santa, please bring ammo.
Online commenters were quick to point out that Massies message comes as a different, gun loving, red-blooded America family all face criminal charges for a school shooting in Oxford, Michigan. In that case, a mom and a dad bought their teenage son, Ethan Crumbley, a gun for Christmas, which he later used to kill four students at his school.
Massies familys blank smiles show no hint of mourning about this latest, gun-related national tragedy.
Big names joined in the online onslaught, including LEO founder and U.S. Rep. John Yarmuth and former Trump White House Director of Communications Anthony Scaramucci, the latter of which offered to fund whoever runs against Massie.
Others pointed out the double standard of outrage directed at Vice President Kamala Harris for buying more than $500 worth of cookware when firearms can be even more expensive.
Oh and our personal favorite someone Photoshopped the firearms into dildos.
Here are the most biting Twitter reactions.
