Its hard to believe that Second Story Man has been around for close to 20 years, but here we are with a b-side retrospective that spans a little over a decade, while omitting the last six years of content. The material found in Olds is a treasure trove, serving as a showcase of the long and slow evolution of the band. There are twee elements here alongside some of the most intense, heavy and haunting indie going on. The vocals take center stage regardless of the content of the track, with gang harmonies aplenty and no clear leadership this is a band of equals first and foremost.
