PHOTOS: All The Costumes And Color We Saw In Kentucky Opera's Comedic "Cinderella"

Kentucky Opera's production of "Cinderella," an adaptation of Rossini’s “La Cenerentola,” isn't the fairy tale you may have heard growing up. This one doesn't have a glass slipper or talking mice, but the familiar rags-to-riches love story is full of color, lush costuming, and comedic antics.

That said, this production has a short run — its only performances are tomorrow, Feb. 24, at 8 p.m., and Sunday, Feb. 26, at 2 p.m., at the Brown Theatre. Tickets are $40.60-$129.08.

The show is performed in Italian with English supertitles. It runs about 2.5 hours long, with one 25-minute intermission.

The cast includes Taylor Raven (Angelina, the character audiences know as Cinderella), David Walton (Don Ramiro, the prince), Armando Contreras (Dandini, Don Ramiro's valet), Hidenori Inoue (Don Magnifico, the evil stepfather), Victoria Okafor (Clorinda, an evil stepsister), Georgia Jacobson (Thisbe, an evil stepsister), and Jason Zacher (Alidoro, the philosopher who “makes sure everyone is in the right place at the right time,” according to a press release.)
