The Clever Moose Cafe In NuLu Is Getting A New Name And Menu

The Clever Moose Cafe in NuLu is getting “a new look, new menu and new name,” according to a news release.

The revamped restaurant will be called the Everyday Kitchen Cafe, named after its sister restaurant Everyday Kitchen.

Everyday Kitchen Cafe will be the more affordable, breakfast-and-lunch foil to Everyday Kitchen’s upscale dinner dining environment.

Both restaurants are part of the Lodgic Everyday Community at 552 E. Market St., which also offers child care and event space.

“Even though it’s less than a year old, Everyday Kitchen has proven to be such a resonant brand in Louisville,” said Cheryl Farr, CEO of Lodgic Everyday Community. “We believe that its farm-to-table values focused on showcasing the finest farmers of the Ohio River Valley in every dish extend beautifully into a more casual daytime format at a more approachable price point, making Everyday Kitchen a truly ‘everyday’ experience.”

Everyday Kitchen Cafe relaunches on March 16, featuring a culinary program headed by Mike Wajda, who is also Everyday Kitchen’s chef.

The restaurant will feature a full coffee bar and other drinks, including alcoholic ones.

Its breakfast options include goetta hash with berbere potatoes and pickled peppers; coconut overnight oats; the EDK Breakfast Sando with ham, egg and cheese on a Grainwright potato roll; and assorted pastries made in-house.

For lunch, Everyday Kitchen Cafe’s menu will include salad, soup and sandwich options, as well as a Lodgic burger and turkey burger.

The restaurant also plans to offer Farmhouse Meal Kits to feed up to four people. The kits all contain a whole rotisserie heritage chicken, three sides, Grainwright bread with cultured butter and Tommy’s Favorite Cookies. Farmhouse Meal Kits must be ordered 24 hours ahead of time by calling 805-7346 or stopping by the cafe.

Everyday Kitchen Cafe will be open 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
