Top art events Gallery owner Cristin Tierney will discuss the experience of operating her gallery in Chelsea, New York City. The talk, “News from the Front: Reflections on My First Five Years in Chelsea, ” is Wednesday, Nov. 4 from 6-7 p.m. at U of L’s Chao Auditorium in Ekstrom Library (louisville.edu/art/).

Jaime Corum is having a studio sale on Friday, Nov. 6 from 5-8 p.m. at Leslie H. Spetz Custom Picture Framing & Gallery, 2400 Lime Kiln Lane (lesliespetzcustomframing.com).

The teachers at Kentucky Country Day school are showing at Louis’s the Ton, 1601 Story Ave., from Nov. 6-Dec. 2. The opening for the KCD Visual Arts Faculty Show is Friday, Nov. 6 from 5-9 p.m. (kcd.org).

“The Feral Woods” by MaLynda Poulsen and Aleksandra Stone is opening during the Nov. 6 First Friday Trolley Hop at garner narrative, 642 E. Market St. It continues through Nov. 27 (garnernarrative.com).

Clodhoppers, 3725 Lexington Road, is holding a truck show for jeweler Erin Castleberry on Friday, Nov. 6 from 6-9 p.m. The handmade pieces are fair-trade and made of eco-friendly materials (longjourneyhomeshop.com).

Gallery K, 1600 Story Ave., is showing “Cosmic Perspective” by Katy O’Toole on Friday, Nov. 6 from 6-11 p.m.

There will be a block party at Shelby and Oak on Saturday, Nov. 7 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. to celebrate the completion of a mural there by Gibbs Rounsavall.
