Hops & Hounds Louisville Slugger Field Prices vary | 7 p.m. Slugger Field will be bursting with dogs of all kinds and eight breweries tonight. If you pay for a $26 Hops & Hounds ticket, you’ll receive a limited edition souvenir mug to fill with your choice of three, 12-ounce craft beers. You can also bring your pup for the price of $3, although everyone will have their fill of dog-watching. The featured breweries are: Gravely Brewing Co., Atrium Brewing, Falls City Beer, West Sixth Brewing, Against the Grain, Miller Brewing Co., Goodwood Brewing and Hi-Wire Brewing.SATURDAY, Sept. 25
Fall Schnitzelburg Walk Schnitzelburg neighborhood Free | All day One of the city’s best bar crawls/street parties, the Schnitzelburg Fall Walk is back. Spearheaded by Check’s Cafe, this year’s Fall Walk features bands, pop-up beer gardens, The Flea Off Market and even the reopening of a beloved burger spot. The market starts at 11 a.m. outside of Monnik Beer Company. The official walk begins at 5 p.m., and the majority of Hickory Street will be shut down, with music starting outside Monnik at 6 p.m.. Area bars get to decide if they want to participate and at what capacity. You’ll be able to find parties at theMerryWeather, Pop’s Place Bar & Grill and All Wood & A Yard Wide Democratic Club. Six Forks Burger Co. is also hosting a grand reopening from 11a.m. to 10 p.m.Drag Jeoparty Logan Street Market $5 | 6-9 p.m. “RuPaul’s Drag Race” queen Jaidynn Diore Fierce hosts a game of Drag Jeopardy, played by representatives from Louisville LGBTQ+ groups. Not all the questions are knowledge based; there will be a category where they’ll have to lip sync for their points. The winner receives $250 for their charity, and all proceeds at the door go to the Louisville Youth Group.
Creepy Cruise-In VI Goes To The Dogs Georgetown Drive-In, Georgetown, Indiana Prices vary (cash-only) | 8:15 p.m. For the last show of the season, the Georgetown Drive-In is going all out for a creepy good time. The outdoor theater is showing classic horror movies for the adults (“Christine,” “Pet Semetary” and “A Nightmare on Elm Street), and “Scooby-Doo 2” and “Paw Patrol The Movie” for the kids. Hence the name, it’s also dog night and classic car cruise-in night. You can dress up both for Halloween to win a contest. The first 100 classic cars will receive a free dash plaque, but it is $2 extra to bring your dog, although proceeds will go to the New Albany Floyd County Animal Shelter. You can also play Fright Fetch for a chance to win prizes, including a vintage Terminator 2 arcade cabinet. And Uncle Jesse’s chili will be for sale, as well as brats, ribeye steak sandwiches and classic Coca-Cola in vintage glass bottles.
