FRIDAY, May 27

Forecastle Festival Waterfront Park Times and prices vary One of Louisville’s biggest and best music festivals, Forecastle returns to the Waterfront after a two year hiatus due to the pandemic. Jack Harlow, Tame Impala, Tyler, the Creator are set to headline. The three-day festival runs through Sunday. Here are the nine sets that we are most excited for this year.

Abbey Road on the River Big Four Station Park Free for under-20s, $45 and up otherwise | Starts at 11:45 a.m. The Beatles-themed music fest returns to Southern Indiana for a weekend-long celebration of the Fab Four. Headliner Tommy James and The Shondells will be performing some of their classic hits, including “Mony Mony.” The five-day festival runs through Monday.

SATURDAY, MAY 28

Star Valley Strawberry Festival Borden Community Park Free | Noon-9 p.m. This is berry delightful news: Southern Indiana’s Strawberry Festival is back, and it’s at a new venue with a new name. There’ll be plenty of strawberries (of course), and vendors will be on hand with strawberry-themed merch, crafts and more. Take part in the pie eating contests (there’ll be one for under-11s and one for anyone 12 and older), play bingo, bid on desserts and listen to live music.

The Flea Off Market 1000 East Market St. Free | 11 a.m. – 6 p.m. Saturday, 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. Sunday This big two-day flea market will have live music, beer and cocktails, and food trucks. Maybe you’ll find your new favorite piece of clothing or decor, or maybe you’ll just have fun seeing everything on offer. In any case, it’s free.

MONDAY, May 30

Hike, Bike & Paddle 2022 Louisville Community Boathouse Free | 8 a.m. yoga/zumba/tai chi, 9 a.m. event The Mayor’s Office is sponsoring this outdoor event for fitness enthusiasts and anyone who loves, well, hiking, biking, and paddling while seeing the city. The first 2,000 participants get a free t-shirt.
