Nearly a decade after he last wore a Louisville jersey, Donovan Mitchell is leaving a new imprint on the Cardinals program — this time as a designer.

The University of Louisville revealed new basketball uniforms Thursday created in collaboration with the former Cardinals star and current Cleveland Cavaliers guard.

The Donovan Mitchell x Louisville uniforms draw heavily from Mitchell’s signature “Spida” branding with Adidas.

The uniforms feature a red base with black side panels on both the jerseys and shorts, accented by a spiderweb pattern — a nod to Mitchell’s longtime nickname. The spiderweb detailing also outlines the lettering and numbers, while Mitchell’s custom “Spida” logo appears on both the jersey and shorts. Louisville’s iconic dunking Cardinal logo is displayed on each side of the shorts.

Both Louisville’s men’s and women’s basketball teams will wear the uniforms. Replica jerseys are available for purchase through the university’s online store for $100.

Mitchell played at Louisville from 2015 to 2017, earning First Team All-ACC honors before declaring for the NBA Draft following his sophomore season. He was selected No. 13 overall in 2017 and signed with Adidas later that year.
