On LEO at the NRA Convention: Why you might want a gun
Good article. Some hippies own firearms as well. Ian McIan
On Design: Move transportation plan
The most important single element that can alter and improve Louisville transportation is something that should already be in place. But because of spineless leaders in this city and state, we will be the very last to get what nearly every city our size already has, or is working towards, light rail! Neil Dickson
At long last, LEO recognizes 21st-century traffic planning reality appropriate to Metro Louisville. There was no mention of that dinosaur-era light-rail scheme in Steven Wards essay. However, there was no mention of the reality of ride-sharing as an emerging alternative; thanks to the wireless revolution, and the entrepreneurial reality of Uber and Lyft. David Eugene Blank
On Shane Peabody Powell: Pack up your goofy set of tricks
Ken Ham isnt going any place so you just wasted all those words for nothing. God loves you, and I hope you see the light one day. Your real problem is with God. The skeptic knows that God exists because God has made it plain to everyone through the general revelation of creation … Whether skeptics recognize it, or not, they are assuming that Christianity is true in order to argue against it. The fact that they cannot sufficiently account for these (morality, logic and the consistency of the laws of nature) and other ideas from their own world-view demonstrates that it is internally inconsistent, and does not meet the test of being a rational foundation to stand upon. In the end, they use the very minds and air given [to] them by God to argue against his existence. Not a very wise thing to do. Randy Abell
Why should Ken Ham depart? Kentucky (and the South), with its lack of education and religious fundamentalism is the problem, not Ken Ham. Wally Kaspars
Furthermore, it is being built on the funds stolen from hungry and undereducated children. Pure evil. Malcolm E. Cason
Well put, Shane! Keep up the great columns! Mark Gerstle
On erica rucker: alright, already
I read Ericas column every week. Her latest one struck a chord in me, particularly this paragraph: Heres the thing, Im not opposed to guns. I think hunting is fine. Sport shooting is just fine. I learned to shoot as a child. I liked it. What I dont like is guns in the name of righteousness. The culture of guns that operates like a tribe of frightened children, who rest their bravery on the trigger of a weapon, is a liability, and it is the reason gun control is an absolute fucking necessity. That last sentence says it all.
