Louisville’s DuPont Manual High School has once again been recognized as the top public high school in Kentucky, according to Niche.com’s latest 2025 rankings. The Jefferson County Public School (JCPS) magnet program earned the top spot out of 252 schools in the Commonwealth.
With an enrollment of 1,929 students in grades 9-12, DuPont Manual boasts a student-teacher ratio of 18:1. The school’s academic performance stands out with 78% of students proficient in math, and 85% in reading. It also excels in specialized programs, ranking first among Kentucky’s magnet and arts high schools.
Additional achievements include a 99% graduation rate, an average SAT score of 1360 and an average ACT score of 29, with over 80% of students are enrolled in Advanced Placement (AP) courses.
Other schools on the list include The Gatton Academy of Mathematics and Science in Bowling Green at seconds, Paul Laurence Dunbar High School in Fayette County at third and J. Graham Brown School in Louisville.
