The Louisville Film Society is showing a documentary on visionary artist Henry Darger on Aug. 5, at 8 p.m. at the Kentucky Museum of Art and Craft (715 W. Main St.). Cost is $5, free for LFS and KMAC members.

The Kentucky Foundation for Women has awarded its Art Meets Activism 2008 grants to the following Greater Louisville area women and organizations: Brick House Community Center, Robin Burke, Erma Bush, Center for Women and Families, Hannah Drake, Dreams With Wings, Jessica Farquhar, Ethel Hazard, La Çasita Center, Looking for Lilith Theatre Co., Estella Conwill Majozo, Jardana Peacock, Project Women, Angela Ramsey Robinson, Gidget Tincher and Wellspring. Their 2008 Artist Enrichment Grant applications are available at www.kfw.org. Deadline is Sept. 5.
