Carbonatix Pre-Player Loader

Follow the Benjamins.
I’m told that a vast majority of U of L’s players — perhaps as many as 11 Cardinals — wished to end the season after the BEast tourney. I’m also told closure was The Rick’s desire. The word: Tom Jurich decreed that the team would compete in the NIT, because, well, you know, it’s all about the …

Red & Black Loyalty.
Cardinal fans have shown just that, showing up for the NIT games in surprising droves. Unfortunately, the school has shown far less, by the dismissive manner in which it has overlooked long-time athletic department supporters. The stories are legion about big, long-time Cardinal Fund contributors who have been shut out of good seats for the NIT games. Even those who got in line 10 minutes before the end of the Delaware State game were told that the only seats available were in the nosebleed section. Some things never change, no matter who is in charge. On the other hand, Ticketmaster listed the U of L-Clemson game hours before the Cards won their opening tilt.
He ain’t goin’ nowhere.
Sorry, Big Blue Haters, I’m talkin’ ’bout The Tubster.

The Greatest Update.
OK, there’s been a rumor floating about that Louisville’s favorite pugilist/international icon — that’s right, M. Ali — is moving back to his hometown. I’m advised that’s not quite the case. Apparently, he and his take-charge bride are considering buying a home here — maybe — so they can keep closer touch with the center that bears his name.

If I were Indiana …
… the only coach I’d be a-courtin’ is Tom Crean. The guy is a major, certified 100-percent putz, but he can really coach. And recruit, even in Indiana. All of which sounds like a former IU coach, you know, the jackass who threw the chair. To parrot what a lots o’ folks been sayin’: If IU chooses Alford, they’ll get what they deserve. Which is, if I need to spell it out for you sunnysiders, mo’ mediocrity.

Fearless Picks.
Remember my tourney prognostications last week? You don’t? Uh, never mind.
