There are seldom-known commodities in Louisville and in life … like Saints Pizza & Pub. If you are looking for sports, trivia night, salsa dancing or if it’s just a beautiful day for a drink outside, Saints is your spot. More importantly, like a local Cheers where “everybody knows your name,” the staff from management to bartenders is the most enjoyable, welcoming, entertaining bunch of people. They have a great beer list with dependable items for any type of beer drinker, as well as a seasonal variety to maintain that spice of life. Saints is the surprise food gem of St. Matthews, and the city’s bar scene. There may not be another bar with the attention to detail and passion for their food. In particular, it’s the chicken, chicken wings and pork all grilled (not fried). The smell emanating from the Green Egg on the back patio is almost too much to resist, even if you’re not hungry. Not going to impress you with ambience … just food, beverages and personality.
