A new and welcomed addition to the warm and neighborhood-y feel of Crescent Hill, Crescent Hill Craft House recently laid roots on Frankfort Avenue, where Dark Star Tavern lived for many a Dead-head year, with an emphasis on local beer and food. A bit more trendy and less patchwork skirt than the location’s previous resident, and prideful of their vast array of Kentucky and Indiana brewed beers (including 40 rotating regional craft beers on tap) and a colorful food menu boasting only locally sourced produce and meats, the “Craft House,” as regulars like to lovingly call her, claims to “feature all the goodness under one roof.” Goodness it surely is, as the Craft House’s ambiance is derived from local artisans, with a giant projection screen that reads a rotating beer selection and moving art. If you can’t seem to find which hometown pint is striking your fancy, don’t fret, hunky tattooed barkeep, Gordon, will help steer you in the right direction.
