Champions will host Super Bowl bash There won’t be any wardrobe malfunctions, but Champions sports grill at the Marriott Downtown will host a Super Bowl indoor tailgating party that features food and drink specials, halftime entertainment and prizes. The all-day event features an all-you-can-eat buffet for $40, which includes a bucket of beer — five domestics of your choice — per every four people in a party (i.e., a party of eight would get two buckets). Reservations are required for tables, and the first 100 reservations will have a chance to win prizes. Valentine’s at the English Grill In tandem with special Valentine’s Day hotel stay packages at the Brown Hotel, the English Grill — the Brown’s AAA four-diamond restaurant — will offer special Valentine prix fixe dinners Feb. 11, 13 and 14. The four-course dinners will include complimentary roses and chocolate truffles for all diners. Cost is $59 per person. Reservations are required; call 583-1234. —KG

Valentine’s at Red Star Tavern The Red Star Tavern at Fourth Street Live will offer a special Valentine’s Day dinner package. Diners will get a bottle of featured wine or champagne, appetizer, salad and a choice of entrée and dessert. The cost is $99, which doesn’t include tax and gratuity. There will also be a giveaway of a ruby pendant in the bar area at 10 p.m. — and you must be present to win. The dinner special will take place on, duh, Feb. 14.
