LEO learned yesterday about the tragic death of Nate Robinson, a prominent figure in the Louisville music scene, after a Monday evening traffic accident. Few details were available at press time. Robinson, 24, was a sound engineer who collaborated with a long list of prominent Louisville bands.

“It’s not often that you get to have a guy like Nate in your life,” said Todd Smith, president of Label X. “(He was) talented, intelligent, kind and generous, genuine. Not only was Nate a great friend, he was a tremendous asset to the Louisville music scene, and his space will never be filled.”
A benefit show is being organized to help Robinson’s family defray expenses. Details were still being finalized at press time; check www.leoweekly.com for further information.
