The Floyd County Library’s Cultural Arts Center is pleased to host Susan Griffin Ward on Tuesday, April 29th from 12 – 1 pm for her talk, The Ohio: A River of Inspiration.
Through personal stories and photography, Ward, Director of Community Engagement at Kentucky Waterways Alliance and board member of both the Ohio River Way and Payne Hollow on the Ohio, is here to discuss the Ohio River beyond face value. With decades of nonprofit service to the environment as well as social causes, Ward also authored Looking for the Sun at Merton’s Corner: A Collection of Portraits.
The Cultural Arts Center (201 East Spring Street, New Albany, Indiana) is thrilled to provide events and programs that are free and open to the public, operating 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM Monday through Thursday, and 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM Friday and Saturday. The center is a contemporary art gallery and history museum with changing exhibitions and educational programs that stay booked, alongside ongoing local exhibits like Ordinary People, Extraordinary Courage: Men and Women of the Underground Railroad, and Remembered: the Life of Lucy Higgs Nichols. Visit https://www.fcculturalartscenter.org/ to learn more about the exhibits, events, and programs available.
