Change Today, Change Tomorrow | Taylor Ryan

On Saturday, August 30, Change Today, Change Tomorrow (CTCT) will organize its 3rd Annual 5K Walk/Run for Change at the Parkhill Community Center, with this year’s theme focusing on environmental justice. The program is free, open to all ages and abilities, and aims to connect West End people with solutions to local environmental concerns.

The route will contain two community stops, including remarks from Mr. Jim Becket from Rebound, Inc., addressing the confluence between environmental justice and community reentry. The walk will finish with a Community Resource Fair offering tools, information and services for sustainable, healthy living—from mental health resources to clean water education.

With opening remarks at 8 a.m. and activities running through 2 p.m., participants are encouraged to bring reusable bottles and dress in weather-appropriate attire. CTCT emphasizes that this event is more than symbolic—it’s about shifting people, policy, and practice, block by block.
