With a new group of small businesses operating inside its North Village Market Retail Cottages, Norton Commons is getting ready for the holiday season.

Through December 31, five rotating retailers will occupy the temporary storefronts at 6301 Moonseed Street, carrying on a tradition that has assisted over a dozen local business owners in making the move to permanent brick-and-mortar stores.

The cottages, which are just under 200 square feet, operate Fridays through Sundays, with some businesses opting for extended hours. Since debuting in 2018, the Market has become a testing ground for makers and boutique owners hoping to reach new audiences.

“We created the cottages to help incubate small and growing businesses, and that vision continues to take shape year after year,” said Sarah Pritts, marketing director for Norton Commons. “Many businesses have gone on to secure a larger permanent storefront in the neighborhood, and it is exciting to welcome another strong group of entrepreneurs for the holiday season.”

The five new businesses include:

Simply Blessed Kids – Children’s toys, apparel, and gifts.
Little Mount Lavender – Natural lavender-based bath, body, and home products produced in Simpsonville, Kentucky.
Gem’s Permanent Jewelry – Permanent jewelry and custom accessories.
Steve’s Woodcrafters – Handcrafted wood décor, serving boards, and artisan creations.
Bottle Lights – Decorative bottle and lamp lighting designs.
