A free nutrition wellness seminar from the Center for Accessible Living will give tips on how to lead a more nutritious and healthy lifestyle.

Located at 982 Eastern Parkway in Louisville, the nutrition wellness seminar is an opportunity for those in the community to hear from Kate Boston, who is a registered dietitian, nutritionist and CPT, on Feb. 24.

“I’m looking forward to sharing general nutrition information because that always leads to lots of very great questions, Boston said in a press release to LEO Weekly. “We are going to cover lots of topics so I am excited.”

The seminar will cover how to swap sugar with healthy alternatives. Sugar, which is the leading cause of weight gain, obesity, type 2 diabetes, heart disease and tooth decay, has been shown to affect not only one’s physical health but also their mental health too.

At the seminar, Boston will also offer her insight on foods to eat that boost gut health, which is essential to preventing chronic diseases including but not limited to inflammatory bowel disease, obesity and cancer.

Register online to see Boston, and learn more about how to lead a healthier lifestyle.

Information on the event came from the Center for Accessible Living.
