Book Judge
I would like to respond to the Inbox submission from Paula Ferree in the Jan. 11 LEO. I think her condemnation of the book “Citrus County” is unwarranted and also a little ridiculous. Should we all avoid reading or discussing books that one person might deem “horrific”? Is horror unworthy of attention or praise? I don’t think so. Also, it seemed as if Ferree hadn’t even read the book, and if that is so, I would like to condemn her for judging a book by its description. Such ignorance is really sad and aggravating.
Morgan Everett, St. Matthews

Never Mind
After I read Thomas Clay Jr.’s critique of Mitch McConnell in the Jan. 4 LEO, I thought it clearly violated your editorial policy that “ad hominem attacks will be ignored.” However, after some cursory Internet research, I concluded that the phrase “ad hominem” referred only to humans. In the words of the late Gilda Radner’s character Emily Litella, “Never mind.”
