LEO Weekly print exclusive: Velocity editor David Daley has been promoted to lifestyle editor at The Courier-Journal. And that’s only the beginning of the virtually exclusive information obtained exclusively by LEO Weekly.

It appears Daley’s promotion might be the first step toward rolling Velocity — Gannett’s local lifestyle weekly — more firmly into The C-J’s features department. Rumors about bringing Velocity into the features fold have been swirling since last month’s launch of Metromix, an online database that provides the basics about local restaurants, bars and entertainment. Assuming this conspiracy theory is true, you can thank LEO Weekly for bringing the news to you — exclusively.

In other non-exclusive news, The Courier-Journal welcomed its new publisher, Arnold Garson, to Sixth and Broadway last week. The longtime Gannett employee previously spent 12 years as publisher of the Gannett-owned Argus Leader, South Dakota’s largest newspaper.
