Presented in partnership with Actors Theatre of Louisville at Highland Community Ministries in Louisville on Feb. 27 and 28, and at Norton Center for the Arts in partnership with Centre College on March 1 in Danville, KY, Drag Daddy Productions has announced encore performances of WON’T YOU Be My MAY-BOR?
One of Drag Daddy’s goals, according to a press release obtained by LEO Weekly, is to create room for fresh and interesting queer stories to be shared as well as inspire artists to present their own stories on stage via their creative writing. NOT WILL YOU BE MY MAY-BOR? carries on with these customs.
“WON’T YOU BE MY MAY-BOR? is a reminder of our shared strength when we come together,” said Director Emily Tarquin in a release. “It is beautifully crafted by writers Andrew Newton Schaftlein and Eric Sharp, dynamically performed by May O’Nays, and thoughtfully produced by Drag Daddy Productions. It is a gift to my soul to have the opportunity to tell this story in these times, alongside this incredible team of people, inside of the world built by Fred Rogers. We must continue to dream what is possible and work on building it together.”
Inspired by the ageless wisdom of Fred Rogers, this interactive experience lets users join May O’Nays in deciphering the mysterious Mister Rogers Escape Room, developing patience, mindfulness and careful listening.
