Now in its eighth year, 502 Black Business Week is set to return from June 15 to 21, 2025, offering a full week of community support, intentional spending, and celebration of Black-owned businesses throughout Louisville.
Started in 2018 by marketing consultant Tiandra Robinson, the initiative began as a grassroots effort to uplift and promote Black entrepreneurship. It has since grown into a citywide movement that aligns with the week of Juneteenth, honoring Black excellence and legacy through local economic empowerment.
āThis is not just a marketing campaign,ā Robinson said. āThis is about legacy, visibility, and real support for Black businesses who often get overlooked.ā
Dozens of businesses across food, fashion, wellness, and professional services will take part by offering special deals and promotions. The aim is to encourage residents to discover and support local Black-owned brands they may not have engaged with before, while helping business owners gain new customers and increase revenue.
A new addition to this yearās lineup is a partnership with PNC Broadway in Louisville. By visiting any participating business either in person or online, customers can enter for a chance to win four tickets to opening night of The Wiz on July 29 at The Kentucky Center. The winner will be announced on June 30 at noon Eastern time.
502 Black Business Week is organized by T. Marie Consulting and supported by local media and digital outreach. For a full list of participating businesses and giveaway information, visit 502BlackBusinessWeek.com.
