Publix

Louisville shoppers lined up early Wednesday morning as a well-known grocery chain cut the ribbon on its newest location in the city. Publix, which is part of the Florida-based supermarket chain’s latest development, is situated in Marshall Commons on Ballardsville Road next to Brownsboro Road.

The new store offers traditional Publix departments like deli, bakery, produce, meat and seafood, alongside its popular Pours café, where customers can grab coffee, smoothies, or an acai bowl before shopping.

This week’s opening is just the beginning. Another location will debut in the Eastwood area on Saturday, Sept. 6, with more to follow—including a planned store in Middletown at the site of a former Walmart Neighborhood Market.
