With hook-conscious energy, plenty of fuzzy guitar work and a straightforwardness that gets right to the point, White Reaper have this way of feeling both familiar and refreshing. Maybe its that their music is unapologetically gritty and minimalistic and wastes no time wandering around, feeling a little like the music of two decades ago. Or maybe its because that sort of youthful ability to not give a shit always seems to successfully and naturally update itself, at least in some circles. Either way, they won their audience from blistering live shows and on this self-titled EP they keep the course, spitting out six songs in 16 minutes. At this point, being formulaic and predicable is a good thing. Keep an eye on these guys.
