Twin Limb made the initial version of this album in the fall of 2014, when Lacey Guthrie and Maryliz Bender went to La La Land to record with producer Kevin Ratterman. Ratterman ended up turning into a full-time member, making Twin Limb a trio, adding a new dimension to their sound, which made them decide to sit on those initial sessions and rerecord later on. The final product still retains the surreal, ominous, psychedelic sound they started with it just now has more depth, with the added atmospheric layers circling their original core ideas. It seems to be what they were working toward all along.
