Carbonatix Pre-Player Loader

Anyone can write a sad song, but not everyone can do it well. You have to combine technique and belief.

That’s the problem with “Come See What I Have Done.” It has too much of the former and not enough of the latter, coming off sarcastic as a result. I doubt this was the goal, but as with much of State Champion’s indie-rocker-turned-modern-day cowpunk, that’s what I hear. The album doesn’t dig any deeper on “Help Me Sing,” which contains such charmers as the hour hand is flicking me off and anecdotes of 24-hour cum stains.

Funny. In that bumper sticker sort of way.
