One of the most unexpected treasures of 2016 is the collaboration between Otis Junior and Dr. Dundiff. In many ways, its the perfect marriage between the soulful joy of Otis Juniors voice and the silky smooth production that Dr. Dundiff is known for. That the duo has already secured a record deal is a no-brainer this is imminently listenable for a broad audience, but without seeming to sacrifice any artistic expression. There are qualities here reminiscent of classic R&B like Otis Redding or Marvin Gaye, blended seamlessly with more modern takes on the genre from the likes of Aloe Blac or Mayor Hawthorne. This is inspired and beautiful music destined for great things.
