It was only a matter of time. Punk rock flea markets have been popping up in cities all across America for years, now Louisville is finally getting its own! In the first of what I hope will be many more, expect 23 bands on two stages, and more than 50 vendors selling art, clothing, food, records, tattoos, oddities, and everything in-between.
What is this, exactly?
Presented by Dirty Hand Studios, Punk Rock Flea Market Louisville is a one-day, all-ages market and music fest showcasing bands, vendors, and community. There is live music all day (punk/hardcore and their subgenres), food, friends and fun!
This isn’t just a place to browse; it’s a celebration of alternative culture, DIY makers, and live music!
And no, you won’t have to dig through dusty old bins with grandma in some long-forgotten wing of the Expo Center, this is all going down at Portal, which is hands-down one of the best venues in the city for live music.
All this for only $10 at the door! And kids 12 and under are free! It all kicks off at 11:30 a.m. and runs until 10:30 p.m., with the first band going on at noon. Check out the band lineup and vendor list below.
