It’s been ten long years since we last heard new music from the Louisville-based duo Sixteen Bones. However, the band – comprised of songwriter/vocalist/acoustic guitarist David “Saylor” Bryant (My Own Victim, Surviving Thalia, SxWxP, The Scars of Judas, and Warplan – whose song “Unmerciful” made LEO Weekly’s list of favorite local songs of 2023), and Bryan Fox (End Of Me, Bryan Fox and the Good Chiggens) handling electric guitar, bass, mandolin, percussion and backing vocals – is set to reemerge as a dominate force in the alt-rock and folk rock worlds both locally and otherwise with their with their forthcoming 11-track sophomore album, Signs, Symptoms, and Other Ill Conditions, which drops on Friday, October 31st on all streaming platforms,

Regarding the record, which was co-written, produced, mixed, and engineered by Bryan Fox at his Foxhole Studios in Louisville, David “Saylor” Bryant said, “This album is a raw, unflinching odyssey into my mind that serves as my confessional scrawled in the margins of a well-worn Bible.” Bryant continued, “This record isn’t just music-it’s a lifeline thrown into the abyss of human despair, chronicling a journey from abandonment’s cold grip to the flickering light of faith-seeking redemption. In a music landscape often dominated by superficial gloss, I feel this album delivers a gut-punch of personal honesty.”
To celebrate the upcoming release of the album, Sixteen Bones and LEO Weekly are proud to present the premiere of “The Devil in Me.”
“This song is a raw and emotional song about a relationship shattered by alcoholism, exploring the pain, betrayal, and struggle of loving someone while being lost in their addiction,” said Bryant.
