Well, what started out as one surprise Prince show turned into four performances (Saturday and Sunday, 8 and 11pm both days) at the Louisville Palace this weekend due to demand, so, naturally, we’ll start with him on this week’s playlist. Here are two songs — one ‘80s classic and another from his new album with 3RDEYEGIRL, whose drummer Hannah Ford is from Louisville.

1) “Little Red Corvette” by Prince

2) “AINTTURNINROUND” by Prince & 3RDEYEGIRL

On to the rest of the week…

3) “Holding All The Roses” by Blackberry Smoke, who will be at Mercury Ballroom on Saturday, March 14.

4) “Lucia” by Hiss Golden Messenger, who will be at The New Vintage on Friday, March 14.

5) “Kerosene” by Young Widows, who will be at Headliners on Thursday, March 12.

6) “Robbery” by Filligar, who will be at Zanzabar on Wednesday, March 11.

7) “Dead and Done” by Bobby Long, who will be at Zanzabar on Wednesday, March 11.

8) “Come Sunday, I’m Getting Weird” by Wilder Stallions, who will be at the Tim Faulkner Gallery on Saturday, March 14.
