Mayor Craig Greenberg, Louisville Parks and Recreation, and Danny Wimmer Presents have joined forces in a multi-year partnership to elevate the iconic Iroquois Amphitheater, located in the heart of Iroquois Park.
This exciting collaboration marks the launch of a revitalized chapter for the venue, complete with a redesigned logo, an updated website and new branding. Starting this spring, the amphitheater will host a new, fresh lineup of events, blending concerts and community experiences.
Fan favorites such as the free “Classics Under The Stars” movie series and the highly anticipated Jack O’Lantern Spectacular will return, alongside an expanded roster of concerts and special events to be revealed in the coming months.
Tickets for all shows can be purchased at www.IroquoisAmphitheater.com.
“For 87 years the Iroquois Amphitheater has brought people together to enjoy amazing shows and experiences,” said Mayor Greenberg. “We are incredibly excited to partner with an award-winning production company to bring top of the line artists to South Louisville and Iroquois Park,” said Mayor Craig Greenberg.
“Our partnership with Iroquois Amphitheater is a natural extension of Danny Wimmer Presents’ deep connection to Louisville. Our commitment to this city runs deep, rooted in the incredible success and growth of Bourbon & Beyond and Louder Than Life over the past few years. Iroquois is yet another way we can continue to bring world-class entertainment to Louisville, further contributing to this city’s vibrant cultural and music scene,” said Danny Hayes, CEO of DWP.
Situated at 1080 Amphitheater Road in the heart of the picturesque Iroquois Park, the Iroquois Amphitheater has been a cherished part of Louisville’s cultural and entertainment landscape since 1938. Built as a Works Progress Administration (WPA) project, this historic open-air venue stands as a testament to the craftsmanship and vision of the era, offering the community a vibrant space for performances and events.
“Our new partnership with DWP has taken our vision for the Iroquois Amphitheater to new heights,” Michelle King, Executive Director of Louisville Parks and Recreation said. “We can’t wait to see what the future holds for this beloved historic venue as we continue to host top of the line acts and bring the Louisville community together to enjoy their favorite artists and shows.”
