Go Supernovae!, Iamis first full-length since 2010s Trance Inducer, tips its hat to the old crooner doo-wop sound be it tremolo-ridden arpeggiated guitar riffs like in Lead Hands or Shawna Dellecaves sauntering vocals. Thats not to say this is simply a throwback record it also brings psychedelic grooves to the forefront in Unsteady Ground, where they lyrically flex their existential muscle with lines like: From the conscious comes the you, and from the you is what you choose. An odyssey into multiple sounds, Go Supernovae! comes with a series of hard-to-answer questions, but its also an invitation to a party that you know you should attend.
