Carbonatix Pre-Player Loader

Audio By Carbonatix

Go Supernovae!, Iamis’ first full-length since 2010’s Trance Inducer, tips its hat to the old crooner doo-wop sound — be it tremolo-ridden arpeggiated guitar riffs like in “Lead Hands” or Shawna Dellecave’s sauntering vocals. That’s not to say this is simply a throwback record — it also brings psychedelic grooves to the forefront in “Unsteady Ground,” where they lyrically flex their existential muscle with lines like: “From the conscious comes the you, and from the you is what you choose.” An odyssey into multiple sounds, Go Supernovae! comes with a series of hard-to-answer questions, but it’s also an invitation to a party that you know you should attend.
