Louisville’s ultimate culinary celebration returns Sunday, July 12 to its original home at The Olmsted, marking the 9th year of this signature Louisville culinary event.

Hosted by APRON Inc., this annual tasting experience celebrates Louisville’s independent restaurant community and the chefs who define it.

Robin Miller, Executive Director of APRON Inc., shares: “The Taste of Independents is not just a fundraiser; it’s a celebration of the resilience and spirit of our independent restaurant community. It’s a chance for us all to come together, enjoy incredible food, and make a tangible difference in the lives of those who serve us every day.”

Supporting Those Who Serve You.
APRON Inc. is a nonprofit organization which provides temporary, limited financial relief to professional food and beverage workers in the Louisville, KY metro area who work at locally-owned establishments and who are experiencing financial distress due to illness, accident, emergency, or catastrophic event through no fault of their own. Since its founding, APRON has granted hundreds of thousands of dollars to support industry professionals in need, strengthening the backbone of Louisville’s local Restaurant community.

Sip, Savor & Celebrate
Guests will enjoy over 40 tasting stations featuring signature dishes from Louisville’s top independent restaurants. Beverage offerings include craft beer, wine, and spirits, along with live entertainment by Logan Leet. Guests can also enjoy interactive experiences including the Gift Card Pull, Liquor Pull, and the People’s Choice Award.

The 9th Annual Taste of Independents takes place Sunday, July 12 from 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. at The Olmsted, 3701 Frankfort Ave. This event is open to the public. Tickets are $65 (early bird special through July 7), $75 general admission, or $50 for restaurant industry workers and can be purchased through APRON Inc. website at: aproninc.org.
