A recent social media announcement revealed that Taj Louisville has ceased operations but intends to establish a new venue.
Taj Louisville, located in NuLu, has closed its location at 807 E. Market St. The post reads, “It’s with heavy hearts that we announce that Taj Louisville, the place where countless memories, cheers, and late-night laughs have been shared, will be closing its doors indefinitely, effective immediately, at 807 E Market Street due to the sudden loss of our lease.”
The post encouraged its’ followers to stay tuned for updates on construction and their reopening, as they will be moving just down the block, spanning 809 and 811 E. Market Street.
“This isn’t just a move—it’s a chance to reinvent Taj while staying true to the spirit of what’s made it legendary,” the post reads. “New beginnings are coming, and we can’t wait to raise a glass with you soon. If you liked the former Taj, you’re gonna love the new and improved one.”
