Silver Dollar

On Saturday, a well-known southern eatery in Louisville will close.

The Silver Dollar stated on social media that it would be closed for the week before reopening for the final time on November 15.

“We want to sincerely thank you for your support, friendship, and countless good memories shared with us,” the social post reads. “It’s been an honor to serve this community, and we hope you’ll join us one more time as we raise a glass to the good times we’ve shared.”

The Silver Dollar joins several other Frankfort Avenue spots that have closed this year. The Champagnery shut down in July, and DiFabio’s Casapela Italian Restaurant announced on social media that its last day will be New Year’s Eve.

Another restaurant, Enso, reopened in April 2025 after a fire but closed again in August.
