The Louisville Cigar Company opens Thursday, Nov. 21 Facebook

Fans of cigars and bourbon will love the news that a new speakeasy, cigar room is opening in the Highlands. The Louisville Cigar Company makes its debut on Thursday, Nov. 21, promises an extensive collection of fine cigars, a full bar, and a heated patio.

“We are proud to bring The Louisville Cigar Company to our community,” said Josh Pickett, owner in a release. “It’s a culmination of decades of immersion in the premium cigar industry and culture. Louisville doesn’t know it yet, but this is the experience they’ve been waiting for — a place that honors the craft and culture of premium cigars with signature bourbon, blending heritage with global expertise, and is welcoming to all.”

The Louisville Cigar Company says that their state-of-the-art humidor is the closest one can get to having a cigar fresh from the tobacco farm. The water that feeds their humidor is filtered to 99.9% purity levels, ensuring that impurities found in tap water will not contaminate the products.

“We are going a few steps further to ensure our customers receive the highest quality of product,” Pickett said. “This is the closest you can get to having a cigar rolled on-site at a tobacco farm without actually being there.”

The business will have the official ribbon-cutting celebration on Thursday, Nov. 21 at 10:30 a.m. at their 967 Baxter Ave. location. Regular hours will be Tuesday – Saturday, 11 a.m. – 11 p.m.; Sunday 1 p.m. – 11 p.m. Learn more at TheLouisvilleCigarCompany.com.

The Louisville Cigar Company was born out of Josh Pickett’s respect of Kentuky’s tobacco industry and his love for cigars and bourbon. Joined in The Louisville Cigar Company by his wife Stephanie Pickett, the pair hope all feel welcomed and comfortable sharing fine cigars and fine beverages.
