Dirty Bird is set to reopen in August after resolving liquor license issues that forced the restaurant to close shortly after opening earlier this year. The Courier Journal
Dirty Bird, a fried chicken restaurant and bar in Louisville’s Audubon neighborhood, is scheduled to reopen on August 15 after closing for several months due to liquor license issues. The restaurant opened earlier this year in the former Tim Tam Tavern location on Clarks Lane but had to pause operations while waiting for approval.
In Kentucky, restaurants must apply for a liquor license through the state Alcoholic Beverage Control and provide documents such as floor plans and proof of beverage service training. This process can take anywhere from 30 to 120 days, which contributed to the delay in reopening.
With the reopening date set, Dirty Bird is currently holding open interviews to hire new staff. Customers can look forward to enjoying the restaurant’s signature fried chicken along with alcoholic beverages when it resumes service.
