Inspired by the sweet fruit-based snack from Brazil, acai bowls have become a favorite healthy treat to indulge in, especially when it gets warm outside. Some bowls are made with the frozen and mashed fruit of the acai palm, while others are made Central American style with the cactus fruit pitaya. All of them are delicious and full of antioxidant micronutrients. Here are some of our favorite acai bowls from shops around Louisville!
