The Bible contains a lot of wisdom about how Christians should conduct their lives. It also includes advice on what not to do if you want to have a good relationship with God and enter his kingdom in the next life (if you believe in Christianity, of course).

The Bible also gives warnings about individuals who are deceptive or treacherous, such as false prophets and false psychics. To some, these People may appear to be trustworthy, but are not.

Psychics are people who claim to be able to see things beyond the natural senses, such as ghosts, spirits, and other supernatural forces.

Many people claiming to be psychic are often con artists looking for gullible folks to prey on. Others making these claims may actually believe they have supernatural powers but are just misguided. Either way, you need to exercise care when it comes to trusting psychics.

The Bible and Psychic Readers

The Bible doesn’t directly address the issue of psychic readers, but it does offer some guidelines on how to avoid becoming the victim of scammers and con artists. In general, the best way to avoid being tricked by a psychic is to avoid psychic readers altogether.

We should begin by remembering that only God and his chosen agents, such as Angels or Saints, can see into the future. That means only He knows what awaits us on our journey through this life.

Likewise, only the Lord knows when someone will find love, get married, and have children, but no psychic can legitimately see what the Divine Father cannot.

Psychics can only make guesses about future events, but this is nothing more than speculation based on a false sense of power—not legitimate predictions.

Deception in General

The Bible also warns us about being easily deceived by false teachers and prophets. These supposed visionaries may appear trustworthy to the ignorant, but they’re not. Psychics and soothsayers are only pretending they know God’s will, yet they are only full of illusions and cannot truly see.

When we acknowledge the words of false teachers and prophets, their deceit can often lead us to the dark side of life, like sexual immorality, impurity, rebelliousness, and a host of other sins.

We must, therefore, be on guard against spiritually immoral people and impurity in all its forms. Avoid false teachers and those who do not follow God’s instructions, as stated in the Bible.

The Bible on False Prophets

The Bible warns that many false prophets will appear during the end times. Yet the truth is that false prophets have been around since the beginning.

One trick false prophets often use to lead their followers astray is making predictions about the future that don’t come true. The Bible also points out that false prophets can be greedy for the dark rewards of money, power, and sex. They look for gullible people who they can manipulate and control. In addition, they are willing to say or do anything to accomplish these ends and get what they want.

Divination and Mediums

What does the Bible say about psychics and their work? Well, the Good Book clearly warns against divination or any attempt to predict the future or find hidden knowledge through occult practices. It also warns against seeking out mediums or people who claim to be able to talk to the dead or other beings.

The Bible says that these practices are an abomination to God and warns against participating in them. It also warns that we are making God angry when we seek out mediums and divination.

God is not pleased with people who turn to the occult for help. Those seeking advice from mediums and fortune-tellers will not find what they’re looking for. They will not receive genuine answers containing the truth they seek.

Instead, they will be deceived. They will believe that what they’re hearing is from God, but it’s really from the weaker part of themselves—or demons.

Summing Up

The Bible is a source of deep spiritual wisdom and advice on how we should conduct our lives. It also contains warnings about ideas and activities that can lead us away from God.

Hopefully, you’ll have all the answers regarding the will of God the next time someone asks you, “What does the Bible say about psychics?” As we’ve seen, the Bible warns us to avoid deceptive or treacherous individuals, such as false prophets and false psychics.

The stories they spin about communicating with ghosts, spirits, and other forces that most people can’t see or detect are nothing more than propaganda to make what is not good seem holy.

Beware of those claiming they have supernatural powers. Believing in psychics and the illusions they promote is both dangerous and unwise, according to the Bible. As Leviticus 19:31 says in the Bible, “Do not turn to mediums or seek out spiritists, for you will be defiled by them.”
