Art news —The “Flock of Finns” have returned to Waterfront Park. The 28 metal birds, based on sculpture by Louisville folk artist Marvin Finn, have been away for a year for renovation (louisvilleky.gov).

—The FAF (Fine Art Firm) Gallery at 602 S. Third St. is closing on May 31. Any reasonable offers on the art will be considered (fineartfirm.com).

—The Good Garbage Center for Creative Re-Use is hosting a “Board-raiser” event in conjunction with the opening of its new location in Clifton. The soft opening is on Thursday, May 21 (grand opening is May 27); the Board-raiser event is part of an effort to find creative professionals to participate on their Board of Directors. Experience in board leadership and fundraising is welcome but not required, with preference given to those with a history of non-profit and community involvement. 5:30-7 p.m., 2216 Frankfort Ave. (goodgarbage.org).

Top five art events As part of the visual art exhibition “Hybridity: The New Frontier” at 21c Museum Hotel, 700 W. Main St., the Louisville Ballet will perform on May 18-19 at 7 p.m. Free and open to the public (21cmuseumhotels.com).

Anna Somers Cocks, founder of the Art Newspaper, will be speaking on “Insider Trading: Inside the International Art Market” at the Kentucky Center on Tuesday, May 19 at 6:30 p.m. Free for Speed Art Museum members/$10 general admission (kentuckycenter.org).

Artist Louis Zoellar Bickett and curator Julien Robson will be giving a talk on Wednesday, May 20 at 6 p.m. at Zephyr Gallery, 610 E. Market St., as part of “PROJECT 7: Louis Zoellar Bickett” (zephyrgallery.org).

The Old Louisville Homes Tour is Saturday, May 23 from 12-5 p.m. Tickets are $20 in advance or $25 the day of at the Conrad Caldwell House Museum in St. James Court (conrad-caldwell.org).
