Art news Louisville Visual Art has moved its offices from its former site at 609 W. Main St. to its new building at 1538 Lytle St.

Chris Reitz has been named the new gallery director of U of L’s Hite Art Institute. He will also direct the Critical and Curatorial Studies academic program.

Top art events The Carnegie Center’s next Lunch & Learn program is “The Civil War Illustrations of Captain Adolph G. Metzner” with author and historian Michael A. Peake. He is author of the book “Blood Shed In This War, Civil War Illustrations by Captain Adolph Metzner, 32nd Indiana.” Tuesday, Sept. 15 from 12-1 p.m. This program is free but registration is required at 812-944-7336 (carnegiecenter.org).
