The beloved Time Slip Theatre: known for their adaptation of Rocky Horror at Play, and much more, found a new home at an Old Louisville church on 100 W. Ormsby St.

To celebrate this new space, they are presenting their unique adaptation of Edgar Allan Poe’s The Masque of the Red Death, which will run from May 29- June 13. The church consists of multiple rooms and floors, allowing the team to play around with the space and create a standout experience.

According to Time Slip’s Artistic Director Remy Sisk, the theatre’s adaptation of Poe’s story will be a moving show, meaning the audience will be experiencing different scenes in a variety of places inside the building. Attendees will be assigned “ghost guides” that will spook and scare them as they navigate both the story and the church itself.

Actor Zach Campbell-Hoogdendyk, who plays Prosepero in the adaptation, stated that one of the aspects about the show that he is most looking forward to is being able to scare and shock the audience, stating that he’s “a little bit sadistic.”

Although there will be spooks galore, there will also be music, dancing and a lot of fun. Actor Sara Bell, who plays Lex, says that even people who are not interested in theatre will leave the show saying that they enjoyed themselves.

Join Time Slip Theatre in their brand new space, and enjoy a modern times meets classic adaptation that is different from anything you have ever seen in Louisville. You can purchase tickets on their website at www.timesliptheatre.org.
