Louisville Ballet and The Louisville Ballet School are thrilled to present the Spring Dance Festival, a celebratory event showcasing the talent, passion, and dedication of the next generation of dance artists. This annual year-end tradition features performances by students from every level of The Louisville Ballet School, including the Louisville Ballet Studio Company, Louisville Ballet Youth Ensemble, Academy Program, Classical Ballet Program, Children’s Program, Complementary Program, Ballet Bound, and Mind Body Balance.

Festival Weekend Lineup:

Friday, May 9 | 7:00 p.m. (Brown Theatre) Louisville Ballet Youth Ensemble Gala Enjoy a stunning display of the strength and talent of the next generation of dancers. Celebrate the artistry and versatility of our pre-professional program dancers as they present a diverse repertoire of classical and contemporary works. With choreography by former company artist David Senti, president of Regional Dance America Mary LeGere, and others, this evening showcases the depth of talent of our Louisville Ballet Youth Ensemble.

Approximate run time: 1 hour 45 minutes

Saturday, May 10 | 1:00 p.m. (Brown Theatre) Petite Finale + Spring Collection Celebrate our tiniest dancers, showcasing all the skills they’ve learned in class as they take their first steps onto the stage! Our Spring Collection showcases the complementary classes offered to all levels of The Louisville Ballet School, including tap, musical theater, jazz, hip hop, and modern, alongside performers from our Academy and upper Classical Ballet levels, Ballet Bound, and Mind Body Balance.

Saturday, May 10 | 6:00 p.m. (Brown Theatre) Swan Lake The Louisville Ballet School is proud to premiere a school-wide production of Swan Lake for the first time. Featuring all of our young dancers from Classical Ballet I through Pre-Professional Level 6, this iconic ballet features a selection of divertissements from Acts I and III, followed by the elegant beauty of the swans.

This multi-performance weekend highlights the diverse programs offered by The Louisville Ballet School and the extraordinary progress of its students. Each performance is a testament to the dedication of the dancers, faculty, and community that support and nurture the arts in Louisville.
