Yesterday, the Hite Institute of Art and Design at the University of Louisville opened this year’s BFA Thesis Exhibition. Each year, this exhibition features complete bodies of work from students graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree. While the work is grounded in each student’s individual practice and research, common themes tend to emerge amongst the body, due to the shared conditions and time of each class. This semester’s gallery presents shared themes relating to interpersonal reflection, shared and personal histories, and self-perception in the context of the changing cultural lens of society. From photography, to paintings, to glass work, the exhibition shows a wide variety of visual mediums.
The BFA Thesis Exhibition is currently on display at the Schneider Hall Galleries on the University of Louisville’s Belknap campus, and it will be available for viewing through May 9th. Graduates participating in the exhibition include: Erlina Beqiri, Ben Dela Cruz, Autumn Fox, Tiffany Huynh, Quest Lawrence, Muny Mok, Jordan Stonis, Jody Ransdell, Madison Tunnicliff, Tarra Vu, Mattelyn Warren and LiYe Whalen.
