The Speed Art Museum has extended the exhibition “Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness” through Jan. 18 and lowered the admission price. In addition, they’ve hired Suzanne Weaver as the new curator of contemporary art. They’ve also been promised more than 100 pieces of early Kentucky furniture and artifacts.
“Louisville Landmarks & Legends” is the new DVD by architect/historian Steve Wiser. It’s available at Carmichael’s Bookstores for $10. Historian/councilman Tom Owen also has a new DVD, “Life in the Old Neighborhood” ($21.98 at local bookstores).
The Louisville Graphic Design Association (www.lgda.org) will host its 19th Annual 100 show on Dec. 11.
