A total solar eclipse is on its way! On Monday, April 8, you’ll have a chance to witness a historic event that won’t happen again in the US until 2044.
With areas of Kentucky and Indiana in the path of totality, Louisville will experience 99% coverage so even if you’re not heading out of town, there will still be an amazing site to see! (But if you do feel like making a short roadtrip for that extra percentage, see why Bloomington is the perfect spot.)
The eclipse will begin at 1:49 p.m. with max coverage expected at 3:07 p.m. and ends at 4:22 p.m.
Check out these local watch parties, and don’t forget to pick up a pair of glasses to protect your eyes!
